Chris Stiles is a senior at Anderson University in Anderson, S.C., who will graduate in May with a degree in Communications/Digital Media. He currently works as a freelance high school sports writer for the Anderson Independent-Mail and as color commentator on Anderson University basketball online broadcasts.
Chris interned for the Courier-Tribune in Asheboro, N.C. in the summer of 2016, writing about the Asheboro Copperheads (Coastal Plain League baseball) and American Legion baseball, while also working as a Copperheads broadcaster. In the summers of 2014-15, he interned with the Florence RedWolves (also in the Coastal Plain League), with duties ranging from play-by-play and public address announcing to ticket, merchandising, and concession sales.
Chris graduated from Latta High School in Latta, S.C., where he was the chief editor of the Shall-Go student newspaper his senior year and played varsity golf. He is a resident of Mullins, S.C., and lived previously in Kernersville, N.C.
